The Mets selected Campbell with their 8th round selection (254th overall) in the 2008 amateur draft. He was drafted as a junior out of Boston College after batting .306 with 26 extra-base hits and 41 RBIs in 08. He previously attended Norwich Free Academy and is a native of Norwich, Connecticut.
