The Mets selected Duda in the 7th round (243rd overall) of the 2007 amateur draft out of the University of Southern California. After a strong debut in Brooklyn, he continued his success in the Hawaiian Winter League in the fall of 2007. He was assigned to the Arizona Fall League in 2009. Duda is a native of Riverside, California.
