Brewer is currently the pitching coach for the GCL Mets. The Mets named Brewer the pitching coach of their Binghamton team on January 24, 2006. In 2007 he served as the pitching coach of the New Orleans Zephyrs. After spending a year with the Pirates‘ organization, Brewer returned to be the B-Mets‘ pitching coach in 2010. He has previously been a pitching coach in the Royals, Dodgers, and Rangers organizations. Brewer is a native of Scottsdale, Arizona.
