Nick was selected by the Mets in the 10th round (314th overall) of the 2009 amateur draft out of Dartmouth. The 2009 Ivy League Player of the Year signed quickly and reported to Brooklyn. He made the All-Ivy First Team all three seasons at Dartmouth before deciding to forego his senior year. Santomauro is a native of North Caldwell, New Jersey. He was released on March 24, 2011.
