Dylan Owen, the last of the collegiate St. Lucie pitching trinity, made his debut for Binghamton tonight, and it was a good one. He allowed a run on 6 hits in 6 innings for his first AA victory. He struck out 5 and generated 10 ground ball outs. Casey Hoorelbeke saved the game for Owen, coming into a bases loaded 1 out jam in the 8th and stranding all 3 runners.
Fernando Martinez broke out of a 9 for 46 slump with a 3 for 4 day, Caleb Stewart also had a multi hit game. Ryan Church went 0 for 4 as he continued his rehab stint in Binghamton. Luis Castillo, on what by rule must be his final rehab day, was 1 for 4 with a walk, and finished his minor league rehab stint going 5 for 36. Jon Malo (0 for 4, .272) and Shawn Bowman (0 for 4, .236) took 0-fers.
