EL AA: Binghamton 3/5/0, Portland 2/9/1

Michael Antonini had his best outing in a long long time (if not the whole season), allowing just 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings for his 7th win. Jose De La Torre picked up his first save of the season, after Ike Davis, returning from a few games off with sore ribs, homered in the 7th to give the Mets a 3-2 lead.

The Mets had just 5 hits and a walk on the game, and were 0 for 2 with RISP, but won anyway. Emmanuel Garcia (0 for 3, BB, 2 Ks, .248), Caleb Stewart (0 for 4, 3 Ks, .228), Salvador Paniagua (0 for 3, K, .202), Jose Coronado (0 for 2, RBI, .268), and Jon Malo (0 for 3, 2 Ks, .240) all took 0-fers. FSL A+: St. Lucie 1/3/1, Fort Myers 3/7/0, Game 1

Kirk Nieuwenhuis took an 0-fer. On with the recap?

The Mets were cooled off by the rain out, and then iced on by the Miracle in the opener of a twinight doubleheader, managing just 3 singles, and 1 run, after scoring 104 runs in their previous 14 games. Angel Calero allowed 3 runs (2 earned) over 5 innings, a decent enough outing, but fell to 3-10 on the year. The Mets were 0 for 5 with RISP and left 6 on base.

FSL A+: St. Lucie 5/9/2, Fort Myers 4/9/2, Game 2

Chris Schwinden's high A debut was not a good one, he surrendered 3 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in just 4.1 innings, but his offense was doing their job tonight, so he got off with a ND. Edgar Ramirez picked up his 3rd win, allowing a run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings.

The Mets offense, as I mentioned, did their job, with 9 hits and 4 walks in the nightcap, despite going just 2 for 12 (.167) with RISP, and leaving 9 on base. Stefan Welch and Brahiam Maldonado had homers tonight, going back to back as part of a 4 run 3rd inning. Kirk Nieuwenhuis (2) had the only multi hit game, while Hector Pellot (0 for 3, BB, 2 Ks, .267) took the only 0-fer.

SAL A: Savannah 4/13/1, Augusta 3/6/1 in 11 innings

Wilmer Flores' walkoff RBI single in the 11th inning salvaged what was otherwise a forgetful day for the recently turned 18 year old shortstop, it was his first hit in 6 ABs. Jefry Marte left the game after making an awkward slide into home, no word on why (the way 2009 has gone...:whistles: (which I cannot actually do)). Jose Jimenez replaced him and went 0 for 4, BB, 2 Ks, .155. Eric Campbell (0 for 3, run, 2 BBs, K, .245) took the other 0-fer, while Sean Ratliff (4), Raul Reyes (2), and Mike Moras (A debut; 2) had multi hit games. The Gnats had 13 hits and drew 5 walks while going 6 for 16 (.375) with RISP, but left 13 on base.

Robert Carson had a good outing tonight, giving up just a run on 4 hits in 5 innings. John Church picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings, despite walking a pair in the 11th.

NYPL A-: Brooklyn 6/9/1, Vermont 7/16/2 in 10 innings

Wes Wrenn had a very poor outing tonight, getting oblierated for 7 hits and 5 runs in 2.1 innings, but the Conies battled back and got him off the hook. Brandon Sage took the loss, allowing a run in the top of the 10th.

The Conies had 9 hits and drew 4 walks tonight, while going 4 for 12 (.333) with RISP and leaving 6 on base. APPY R: Kingsport 3/12/0, Greeneville 5/7/1

The Mets came from 3-1 down to tie it in the 9th, only to see Travis Babin give up a pair in the bottom of the 10th inning, giving him his first loss, and the Mets their 32nd. Zach Von Tersch had a good start, giving up a run on 4 hits in 6 innings, but it was for naught.

The Mets offense had 12 hits and drew a pair of walks, while going 3 for 10 with RISP, and leaving 10 on base. Ryan Mollica (0 for 5, 2 Ks, .269) took the only 0-fer, while Joe Bonfe (2), and Kurt Steinhauer (4) had multi hit games.
