The Mets rallied from 7-1 and 9-5 down to tie this game with 4 in the 8th (gee...) only to lose after giving up 2 in the 10th. The Mets had a pair of 4 run innings, the 3rd and 8th, with Sean Ratliff delivering the game tying PH 3 run HR in the 8th, after Zach Lutz HRed earlier in the inning. Mark Cohoon got crushed again for 7 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits in 2.2 innings, but it was Manuel Alvarez who gave up the pair in the 10th to take his 1st EL loss.
The Mets offense did their job with 12 hits and 3/5 BB/K, while going 6 for 10 with RISP and leaving 5 on base. Zach Lutz, Saloman Manriquez and Jose Coronado had multi hit games, while Raul Reyes and Kirk Nieuwenhuis took 0-fers.

Brad Holt might've only given up 2 runs tonight, but he got ripped for 6 hits and 5 walks in 5.1 innings in suffering his 4th FSL loss. Brant Rustich returned off the DL and pitched a scoreless 8th. The Mets offense had just a run on 7 hits with a god awful 1/15 BB/K ratio, while going just 1 for 3 with RISP and leaving 6 on base. Jordany Valdespin returned from his temper tantrum induced suspension with 2 hits, but he was CS for the 10th time this season. He and Stefan Welch had multi hit games.
